Chicago Criminal Defense Firm Names Winner of the $1,000 Lawyers of Tomorrow Scholarship
The Law Office of James F. DiQuattro has officially named the latest recipient of its Lawyers of Tomorrow Scholarship. For the Spring 2025 semester, the Chicago criminal defense law firm has awarded $1,000 to law student Daisy Rachel Lopez through its biannual scholarship program. Having provided three brilliant and tenacious students with scholarships over the last year, Attorney DiQuattro is proud to support the continuing education of young legal professionals.
Daisy Lopez is in her second year of law school at the University of Houston Law Center. Daisy is interested in pursuing a career in litigation, and she was determined to become a lawyer from an early age. Throughout her childhood, Daisy’s interactions with lawyers—mainly as a translator between attorneys and her family members—led her to want to make a difference in the profession. As a lawyer, Daisy plans to make all clients feel welcome and heard no matter where they are from or what language they speak. Additionally, Ms. Lopez hopes to be a role model for young women in the legal profession.
The Lawyers of Tomorrow Scholarship provides a law student with an award of $1,000 to be used to help pay educational costs. Since early 2024, the Law Office of James F. DiQuattro has sought to support students who are putting in tremendous amounts of time and effort to become exceptional lawyers. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, enrolled or accepted in an accredited law school, and maintain at least a 3.2 grade point average. The Fall 2025 scholarship application is currently open, and materials must be submitted by June 11, 2025.
